Volunteer Benefit Program

Many of our members give their time, talent, and resources to make the many facets of the SW Women’s Fiber Arts Collective shine. The Collective would not be able to provide the outreach, classes, and retail outlet with out them. The Volunteer Benefit Program was established in appreciation of these wonderful people.

Thank you for volunteering for SWFAC!

24 hours of their time, volunteers have a 25% commission on items sold at The Common Thread and shows, or if a non-seller, a $30 voucher towards one class.

After 50 hours volunteers receive a gift certificate for 10% off a class plus the above.

After 75 hours volunteers receive a gift certificate for 10% off a single purchase from The Common Thread plus the above.

After 100 hours they will receive a one year membership plus the above.

Please make sure to keep track of all hours you volunteer for SWFAC, whether it is on or off site. Please report quarterly to the Volunteer Coordinator. Hours are calculated from October to September.

- Time sheets are available at the office in The Common Thread. Or you can download a Volunteer Timesheet in MS Excel format here. (Don't have MS Excel? Check out Google Docs.)

- You are responsible for filling in your time sheet with hours worked

- Hours are totaled and reviewed annually

- The Volunteer Handbook is available at The Common Thread

Be sure to get the numbers into the SWFAC office so that we can enter them into our database and give you credit for all of your hard work.

Volunteer awards and benefits will be awarded at our annual Volunteer Appreciation Awards meeting held in October.
